USE
CEKOL C-45 is used for smoothing, levelling and finishing interior walls and ceilings of buildings. It’s great for renovating old plasters as well as plastering brand-new walls. The plaster finishing can be applied as smooth or it can be used to obtain all sorts of decorative shapes and textures. Suitable for hand and machine application.
CHARACTERISTICS
CEKOL C-45 is a compound of natural white gypsum, white mineral fillers and modifiers. An excellent base for emulsion and acrylic paints. The white colour of the plaster reduces the amount of paint needed to achieve good results (when painting the most popular colours – white, magnolia or light grey). An excellent base for wallpapers. Non-toxic, based on natural ingredients. Does not yellow when exposed to sunlight.
- Proportions of the mixture: 0.40 l of water for 1 kg of dry powder
- Application temperature +5 ÷ +30˚C
- Single layer thickness up to 10mm
- Consumption: approx. 1.5 kg/m²/mm
- Pot life: 60 minutes
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
The plaster adheres well to concrete, brick, blocks, plastered surfaces and plasterboards. The substrate should be clean, tight and free of grease. Using a spatula, remove the remains of emulsion and oil paints, and loose grains of sand.
PLASTERING
The mortar should be prepared by pouring 1 kg of powder to 0.4 l of water and mixing it thoroughly. First, pour water into a bucket, then add the powder. After mixing the pot life is approx. 60 minutes. Apply on the wall a layer between 1 and 10mm, and smooth it to achieve the desired effect. The product should be applied to the surface using tools made of stainless steel or plastic. After hardening the surface is sandable. The single layer shouldn’t exceed 10 mm. Painting or wallpapering can be started when the surface is fully dry.
STORAGE
Keep in the original packaging in a dry and dark place, away from sources of heat. Protect from excessive temperature and frost.
NOTES
1. Strongly absorptive substrates should be primed with deep penetrating primer before plaster application.
2. In rooms with high humidity CEKOL C-35 is recommended instead.
3. Steel elements should be treated before contact with C-45 gold plaster.
