USE
CEKOL C-35 is a high-quality compound for smoothening, levelling off and improving the surface of external building walls (façades). It can be applied inside, particularly in rooms with high humidity levels (e.g. bathrooms, saunas, cool storage rooms). CEKOL C-35 enables achieving very smooth surfaces. It is suitable for both manual and machine application.
CHARACTERISTICS
CEKOL C-35 is a water- and frost-resistant mortar. It is a dry mixture of high-quality white cement, white mineral fillers and modifiers that ensure excellent workability and adhesion to mineral substrates (e.g. concrete, bricks, aerated concrete, etc.). CEKOL C-35 does not contain any toxic substances or ingredients that would turn yellow when exposed to light or weather conditions. It is an excellent substrate for emulsion, acrylic, silicate, silicone and mineral paints. The white colour of the plaster reduces the amount of paint needed to achieve good results (when painting the most popular colours – white, magnolia or light grey). CEKOL C-35 is recommended as the render layer in ETICSs.
- Proportions of the mixture: 0.40 l of water for 1 kg of dry powder
- Ambient and substrates’ temperature during application: +5°C to +25°C
- Layer thickness: 1 to 5 mm
- Consumption: approx. 1.5 kg/m²/mm
- Pot life: around 3 h
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION
The render adheres well to concrete, bricks, aerated concrete, expanded clay blocks, gypsum boards and blocks. The substrate should be clean, tight and free of grease. Using a spatula, remove the remains of emulsion and oil paints, and loose grains of sand. Absorptive substrates need to be primed with deep penetrating primer. Before applying the render on an ETICS reinforcement layer, prime the substrate with CEKOL GB-87
PLASTERING
Pour the bag contents into a properly measured amount of water and stir gently. Use ca. 0.4 litres of water per 1 kg of dry powder. Wait for ca. 3 minutes and stir the mixture thoroughly again until you obtain uniform mass. Apply the plaster on the substrate with clean stainless steel or plastic tools. Finishing touches on the surface are possible after the mass initially sets and dries. The recommended maximum single coat thickness is 5mm. The surface may be painted after it sets and dries. A fresh render layer should be protected against drying too quickly.
STORAGE
Keep in the original packaging in a dry and dark place, away from sources of heat. Protect from excessive temperature and frost.
